The Custer Celebration Event Committee has been hard at work over the last few months organizing an exciting array of events.

Recently, the committee commissioned an artist’s rendering to be used to print limited edition posters and event souvenirs. Belleville, Michigan artist Sheri Marie Chaffee toured Monroe in attempts to capture the feel of the city during the time George and Libbie Custer lived there.

In this photo, Chaffee presents two final sketch choices to Custer Celebration Event Committee members Ronda Stiffler (left) and Jean Guyor (right). The final painting will be unveiled soon!
