NBC announces new fall schedule

NBC recently announced what TV shows have been renewed and canceled.

Scrubs will return for a shortened season next year, taping only 18 episodes.
Law & Order also will return. It will mark its 18th season. It was on the bubble after bad ratings this year. The move from Wednesday night to Friday night hurt them this year.
The Law & Order spinoff, Criminal Intent, has been bumped to the USA Network. Friday Night Lights has been renewed for another season, but Crossing Jordan has been canceled.
And it is finally official: NBC cut Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. Also, Donald Trump might be fired…NBC has yet to announce that “The Apprentice” has been renewed.
Jerry Seinfield returns to network TV to create and star in 20 live-action comedy “mini-sodes” inspired by his experiences creating the upcoming animated movie “Bee Movie.” It hits theaters Nov. 2. The mini-sodes will run in the fall.
After “Sunday Night Football,” which ends in January, 2008, a new lineup will take form to fill that air time.

Here’s NBC’s lineup for 2007-08. There are five new dramas, and only one new comedy. For a complete schedule, check out www.nbc.com.

I am completely disappointed that NBC cancelled Studio 60. That is my favorite show. Putting it on hiatus for what, 2 months, definitely didn’t help with the ratings. Studio 60 was pretty popular for downloading. Also, it was smart TV..really witty and interesting. I may only be 18 years old, but I was able to appreciate the show. Matthew Perry is a wonderful actor. I hope another network picks up the show. It’s too fantastic not to! And Keeping FNL? That show had ratings worse than Studio 60. Nice going, NBC!
