Pop Culture Checklist

Finally, NBC has decided to close the door on super-sizing shows. How annoying was it when you Tivo’d a show, only to miss the last five minutes because it was super-sized? 

Anyway, the network chose to stop adding the extra 5, 10 minutes to a show because it’s not as effective as it used to be. They first started prolonging half-hour shows in the 2000-01 season. 

However, NBC did say they are sticking to their plan of having 5 hour-long episodes of “The Office” next season. Yeah!
