Carey to host TPIR
Drew Carey is the new host of The Price is Right.
After months of speculation, the comedian announced his new job during David Letterman last night.
He should have no problem. Besides being a comedian, he also starred in his own sitcom and has hosted many TV shows, such as the improv show called “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”
He replaces Bob Barker, host of the show for 35 years before retiring in June. New episodes begin in the fall.
What do you think of the replacement? Is he a better choice than Rosie? Can he live up to Barker’s legacy? Do you care?

I think Howie Mandel would have been the best choice. He’s surprisingly good on “Deal or No Deal”, making that show better then it really is. Second choice? Tom Bergeron, of “America’s Funniest Videos”. I think he’s been seriously under-rated since the Whoopi era ended on “Hollywood Squares”.

I like Drew, he’s petty funny. Sorry to say but Howie Mandel makes my skin crawl! Nobody will be as good as Bob though. It’s a shame he had to go. I have always loved the price is right but I think now that Bob is gone (no matter who replaced him) I won’t watch it as often as I have in the past.
