In a surprising box office weekend, Tyler Perry beat out George Clooney, The Rock and Mark Wahlberg.

Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married? hauled in $21.5 million to claim the number one spot over the weekend. It nearly doubled the runner-up, The Game Plan, starring the Rock. Debuting was Michael Clayton starring Clooney, and it took the third spot.
