Here is a list of the latest movie roles for some of your favorite stars:

Jake Gyllenhaal will play Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Namath in an upcoming film. The script will be written after the writer’s strike. Namath was the first football palyer to find rock star status, and recently ok’d the movie.

Christian Bale is in the running for the role of “Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins.” The fourth installment of Terminator will be released in 2009.

Russell Crowe is replacing Brad Pitt in “State of Play” after Pitt left the project last week. He reportedly left due to disagreements with the studio about the script. The film is a thriller based on a BBC miniseries that told of a congressman (played by Ed Norton) who finds his career in jeopardy after an investigation into the death of his mistress. Crowe will play a journalist who oversees his newspaper’s investigation into the murder and develops a relationship with the politician’s estranged wife.

Matthew Perry will star in a new movie called “17,” which is being compared to the movie “Big.” It’s about a dad who wakes up one morning to realize he’s 17 again. In order to be closer to his kids, he enrolls in the same school as them. Production begins next month.

–The film “Repossession Mambo” has added another star to its cast. Liev Schreiber joins Jude Law and Forest Whitaker in the flick. He will play Law’s boss at a futuristic credit union dealing in artificial organs.

Nicolas Cge, Steve Buscemi, and Tracy Morgan will voice the lead characters in Disney’s new film called “G-Force.” It’s about a group of animal commandoes who must stop an evil billionaire from taking over the world.
