Adam says goodbye on ‘Dancing’

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

Finally, Adam Corolla was booted off Dancing with the Stars.

It also means that two-time champion, Julianne Hough, is off the competition as well. I guess now she can promote her country album!

Although I was hoping he would be eliminated, he did have a nice goodbye speech. He said he “lost 20 pounds of fat and gained 105 pounds of angel,” he said, referring to Julianne.

He also said everyone should face their fears.

“…there’s something that scares you. There’s something that is your Dancing with the Stars. Embrace it. Don’t run from it. Do it!”

De Niro, Pitt, Cruise among latest MOVIE NEWS

Tuesday, April 8th, 2008

The following is a list of the latest news in the movie world:

–Robert De Niro, Drew Barrymore, Kate Beckinsale and Sam Rockwell will star in “Everybody’s Fine.” The film is about a widower who decides to reconnect with his adult children. Shooting begins later this month.

–Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been cast along with Kirsten Dunst and Ryan Gosling in a murder mystery called “All Good Things.”

–”Valkyrie,” Tom Cruise’s next film, won’t be released until Feb. 13. It was originally supposed to come out on Oct. 3.

–”Short Circuit,” yes the 1986 film, is being remade. The original flick starred Steve Guttenberg and Ally Sheedy.

–Tobey Maguire will star in “Hungry Rabbit Jumps.” It’s a dramatic thriller. No word yet on when production begins.

–Jensen Ackles (from TV’s “Supernatural) will join Jaime King in “My Bloody Valentine 3-D.” It’s a remake of the 1981 horror film. Production begins May 12 with a Jan. 23 release.

–”Lost City of Z” will be produced, and possibly star, Brad Pitt. The film is based on a forthcoming book by David Grann that tells of British explorer Col. Percy Harrison Fawcett. He attempted to find the so-called City of Z when he and his party disappeared in 1925. Over the next 70 years, numerous explorers tried and failed to retrace Fawcett’s path. Pitt would play Fawcett.

–Jaimie Pressly (My Name is Earl) has joined the cast of “I Love You, Man,” which also stars Paul Rudd, Rashida Jones and Jason Segal. It’s a comedy about a guy who goes on a series of “man dates” to pick his best man for his wedding.

Leading lady leaving Wisteria Lane?

Tuesday, April 8th, 2008

Edie soon may be saying goodbye to her neighbors of Wisteria Lane on “Desperate Housewives.”

You be the judge. Read the following comments by executive producer Marc Cherry about Nicollette Sheridan’s character, Edie Britt.

Before the season ends, “Edie is going to cross a huge moral boundary that she’s never crossed before on the show and it will have devastating consequences for her and lead to a shocking conclusion to her time on Wisteria Lane. That’s all I’m going to say.”

What do you think? It’s all very mysterious! I can’t wait to see what happens.

Seven more episodes are left this season with two running back-to-back for the season’s finale. New episodes begin airing THIS SUNDAY!
