Max Payne kicks dog to curb

After two weeks on top of box office standings, the chihuahua is no longer the top dog.

Mark Wahlberg’s action flick “Max Payne” debuted with $18 million to claim the top spot. It easily beat the debut of “W.” starring Josh Brolin in Oliver Stone’s biography of George W. Bush. It earned $10.6 million.

“Beverly Hills Chihuahua” fell to No. 2 but has raised its grand total to $69.1 million.
