-NBC has ordered a full season of Knight Rider.
-Vince Vaughn is developing and producing a half-hour pilot for Fox. He’s in final negotiations to produce a pilot about a couple of young guys who are just out of college and starting to experience the real world.
-You’ll be seeing much more of Showtime’s Dexter in the future. The network has ordered 2 more seasons of the serial-killer drama. The third season premiered a few weeks ago with high ratings. Season 4 and 5 will consist of 12 episodes each.
-Ashton Kutcher has created a Web cartoon called Blah Girls, which will run every Monday and Thursday. The animated show is about 3 celebrity-obsessed, sexually curious teenage cartoon girls who gossip about their idols who try to meet and date them.

LOCAL EVENTS
-River Raisin Halloween Festival will be held Friday and Saturday in downtown Monroe. On Friday, a costume contest for adults will be held at participating businesses at 7 p.m.; live music from 8 to 11 p.m. at E. Front and Washington Sts. On Saturday, a costume contest for kids will be at 11 a.m. at Dorsch Library. Trick-or-Treating will be held from noon to 2 p.m. in downtown Monroe. For a full schedule, call 800-252-3011.
-Washington Street CreepShow, a haunted house attraction, will be open from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Monroe Lodge 1503, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, 402 Washington St. It is rated PG-13.
-The River Raisin Youth Theatre presents “Adventures of Little Brown Bear” at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at River Raisin Centre for the Arts, 114 S. Monroe St. It is based on stories told by Elizabeth Upham McWebb.
-Members of Monroe Figure Skating Club will perform Halloween routines at Monroe Multi-Sports Complex, 333 N. Dixie Hwy. It’s free admission.
REGIONAL EVENTS
-Little Boo at the Zoo will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the Toledo Zoo. It is geared for preschoolers. Trick-or-treat stations, games and a giant play area will be available.
-The Pumpkinarama Festival will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ottawa Park, located on Kenwood Blvd. in Toledo. Free horse drawn carriage rides, face painting and more.
-Pumpkin Fest 2008 will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Toledo Farmers Market, 525 Market St.
-A Giant Motorcycle Swap Meet will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Rock Financial Showplace, 46100 Grand River Blvd., Novi. Cost is $10 for adults and $3 for kids. Parking is $5.
