‘Musical’ rocks the box office

“High School Musical: Senior Year” danced its way to the top of the box office this weekend with $42 million.

The Disney movie edged Lionsgate’s horror sequel “Saw V,” which earned $30.5 million.

The other debut, “Pride and Glory,” only took in $6.3 million. The police drama stars Edward Norton and Colin Farrell in a tale of corruption among a family of New York City cops.

Last weekend’s No. 1 movie, “Max Payne,” fell to third place with $7.6 million, raising its 10-day total to $29.7 million.
