Happy Thursday everyone! Welcome to another installment of the Weekly Buzz.

TV NEWS

-Fox has canceled the animated comedy “King of the Hill.” Its final episode will air sometime during the 2009-10 season.

–Sunday’s “Simpsons” Halloween special scored big. The show drew 12.5 million viewers, the best since 2004 (excluding following the Super Bowl).

–NBC ordered 9 more episodes of “Kath & Kim,” which airs t 8:30 p.m. Thursdays.

–NBC signed Ludacris, 50 Cent and Katy Perry for its New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly bash.

LOCAL EVENTS

-The Harlem Wizards and Ida Blue Streaks will perform at 7 p.m. Friday at the high school, 3145 Prairie St., Ida. The Wizards are a show/trick basketball team with similar style to the Harlem Globetrotters.

-The Sugar Jar Cash Art Auction will be from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at American Legion hall, 44 Wabash St., Milan. Professional art and art items by local residents will be available. Live auction is from 8-10 p.m.

-Fantasy of Christmas Trees and Gala will be from 7 to 11 p.m. at La-Z-Boy Center at Monroe County Community College, 1555 S. Raisinville Rd. Live and silent auctions of decorated trees and wreaths. Cost is $50 each and benefits Mercy Memorial Hospital System.

-Homeless Awareness Week opening ceremony will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Cafe Classics, 29 S. Monroe St.

-Shipshewana On The Road will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Monroe Bank & Trust Expo Center at Monroe County Fairgrounds, 3775 S. Custer Rd. Furniture, handmade crafts, toys, home decor, jewelry, cleaning products, clothes and food will be sold at the road show. Cost is $3 for adults. Parking is free.

-Curious George ”Meet and Greet” will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Frenchtown Square Mall, 2121 N. Monroe St. Storytime with Curious George will be at 1 p.m.
