‘Madea’ holds off Jonas Brothers

Tyler Perry’s “Madea Goes to Jail” earned the box office crown for a second straight week.

It earned $16.5 million, while runner-up “Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience,” debuted with $12.7 million.

Last week’s Oscars gave a boost to Best Picture “Slumdog Millionaire.” It earned $12.2 million.

Liam Neeson’s thriller, “Taken,” took in $10 million and crossed the $100 million mark in its fifth week.
