Detroit will become the site of a two-day “Fashion In Detroit” event on Oct. 1 and 2.
Project Runway alum and Birmingham native Joe Faris has organized the high-style parade to be held in tents around the Detroit Zoo. He is organizing the event in Detroit to “put a fashion spotlight on Detroit and create a venue that fills the needs of many locally based designers and the Detroit fashion community,” he said in a press release statement.
“Fashion in Detroit” will showcase Faris’ lines as well as 12 separate collections worn by top modeling talent on a 60-foot runway. A VIP reception and an Afterglow rock concert also are planned.
