‘Alice’ rules box office

The Tim Burton-Johnny Depp team once again ruled the box office.

“Alice in Wonderland” earned another $62 million this weekend, raising its 10-day total to $208 million. It surpassed Burton’s “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” to become his highest grossing film ever.

A distant second was Matt Damon’s “Green Zone,” which only opened to $14.5 million – well below studio expectations. It cost $100 million to make the film.

The premiere of “She’s Out of My League” finished third with $9.6 million. The opening of “Remember Me,” starring Rob Pattinson, placed fourth with $8.2 million.
