Snowshoe Making Workshop at Hartwick Pines SP

The fine folks at Hartwick Pines State Park in the North-Central Lower Peninsula are hosting a two-day snowshoe-building workshop on Dec. 13th and 14th.  This sounds like a great weekend getaway.   And it also sounds like a great way to create a Christmas gift for a loved one or, maybe, for yourself.  Here’s the State of Michigan press release:

Note: I can’t get post this without giving a shout-out to Rob Burg.  I’ve hiked with Rob on several occasions and he came to my wedding reception a few years back.  He works at Hartwick Pines and has the following list of upcoming activities at the park:
