MyNorth.com has a good weekend trip idea.  It combines a snowshoe hike up a forested Lake Michigan dune named Old Baldy with food and fun at a restaurant called the Blue Slipper Bistro.  Sounds like fun.  Excerpt and link:

For a fun Northern Michigan outing you can do on the the cheap, take a snowshoe hike on Old Baldy, a forested Lake Michigan dune off M-22, then stop at the bend in the road at Onekama at Blue Slipper Bistro for a winter’s snack. Between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Michigan wines by the glass and Michigan drafts are $3 and all appetizers are half price at Blue Slipper. The brie fritters are a true gourmet comfort food find.
