Sterling SP to Monroe City Trail Connector on State Stimulus Request List

The Department of Natural Resources list of potential stimulus projects includes a request for $258, 750 to pave the trail connection between Sterling State Park’s internal trail system and the planned City of Monroe Elm Street/River Raisin trail slated for paving east of the River Raisin Battlefield.  This trail is already useable, but in rough form.  If funded, the trail would provide a direct pedestrian trail between Downtown Monroe and Sterling State Park.  It is important that it happen.
