One of my favorite places in the entire region is the U of M Museum of Art.  And that was before millions of dollars were spent to recreate the museum.  Why do I love the museum?  Well, it is smaller in size than the major art museums in Toledo, Chicago and Detroit.  This makes it a manageable endeavor on a Saturday afternoon.  It has an excellent collection.  And, best of all, it’s FREE.

Today, the museum reopens from renovations with a 24 hour event that features concerts, comedy performances, euchre tournaments, films and an all-night DJ dance party.
