New Book Tells Story of Manitou Beach/Devils Lake
Dan Cherry, the writer/photographer at The Adrian Daily Telegram, has just released a new book about the Manitou Beach/Devils Lake area of western Lenawee County. Devils Lake is a popular summer home area for many residents of both Monroe and Lenawee Counties. Here is Dan’s Facebook post about the book, posted with permission:
Good news!
My 4th book, “Along the Trails of Michemanetue,” is officially ready and available for sale. Can’t lie, I am excited!
The book is 392 pages (388 plus 4 pages of introduction, table of contents) and I lost count at 900 pictures. With tax, I am asking $25 each book. If you are a tax-exempt organization, let me know!
I will be at the Addison Public Library Saturday, June 20th from 9:30 to 11 a.m. selling and signing books. I will also plan (at this point) a similar event at Sterling’s and maybe some other places around the lake.
As always, feel free to contact me. I have a limited print run of 750 copies, and I anticipate they’ll sell in 6-8 weeks. If you see me out and about, don’t be afraid to ask for a copy.
I hope everyone likes the book. I did it because I love the community and sharing history.
