Sullivan High—– we need your help!

Wednesday, July 8th, 2009

“Sullivan High” is an independent feature film that I am producing and will also direct.

Here is a brief synopsis of the film:

James has a crush on Alexis, but is too nervous to ask her out, despite his best friend Noah urging him on.  Alexis is, after all, the hottest girl in school and oogled by just about every guy in school… including the creepy kid Billy, and chemistry teacher Mr. DeLange!  After a fun (and alchohol filled) party, James finally works up some courage and he and Alexis soon are dating.  Irate, Billy retreats into his psychotic cat-killing “art” and sessions with his psychologist, Dr. Sheppard.  Meanwhile, Mr. DeLange asks Alexis to stay after school for a little extra help in her chemistry work.  Things go awry when DeLange’s tutoring sessions become far too sexual, and Billy decides to take justice into his own hands after witnessing just how far DeLange will go to be with Alexis.

This film will be shot on a small budget (under $100K) and on HD.  We are currently negotiating with several name actors for a few of the roles, including Dennis Haskins (Mr. Belding from “Saved By The Bell”) and Paul Reubens (PeeWee Herman).

So… how can you help?  We’re currently looking for a) investors and b) product placement.

Want to invest in an independent film?  Minimum investment is only $956 for a single Investor Unit (share, stock, etc.) and there are 100 shares availably.   There is the potential for incredibly high return on investment, and using modest calculations, a 17000% return is possible (and that’s only considering the movie grosses the average for comparable films).

Have a business or a product that you’d like to have shown/used/talked about in a movie?  Product Placement slots are available to get your product shown live in “Sullivan High” and even prominently featured and used by the actors.  The price for product placement varies depending on just how much you want the product to be shown/used in the film.  This is well worth it, because you’ll be getting exposure in a MOVIE!  People who see your product in the film and are unfamiliar with it will look into your company, and probably make a purchase.  Think of this as a large-scale advertisement for your company/product/service.

If you’d like to help “Sullivan High” financially (while also helping your business with product placement, or your self individually with a large return on investment), please e-mail me at flannelmann@yahoo.com.  For investors, I’ll show you our BUSINESS PLAN AND FINANCIAL PROJECTIONS so you can see just where your money will go and how you’ll be making profit back.  For businesses wishing to have their product placed in the film, I’ll discuss cost and product prominence with you so that you get the most exposure for your money.

Thank you, and I’ll see you in the movies!

Another gap in posts

Wednesday, July 8th, 2009

My apologies for being away so long between posts again. I get so busy trying to move things forward in my personal and professional life that I honestly forget this blog exists for a little while! lol

Surprisingly, even with the absense of new material in a few weeks, In The Reel World has managed to continue to be one of the top 10 blogs here on blogsmonroe! That’s AWESOME! Thank you so much for reading even when I’m slacking!

You may have heard by now that at the Monroe County Fair this year, the Monroe News will be having a “meet the bloggers” event. If at all possible, I will be one of the bloggers attending. So if you have any dire questions about me, my movies, the film industry in Michigan, or just movies in general, get your questions ready for when you meet me in person! That will be Wednesday, Aug. 5 at 6pm. Hope to see you there!
