If you start to see a ton of Triton, Lund, Crestliner and Ranger boats in town, with all those fancy paint jobs on their sides, there is a reason. The Masters Walleye Circuit is coming to town in the middle of the week. This midwest tour championship will be hosted by Cabela’s, in Dundee.
My only question is (and I haven’t checked the tube yet for the latest news) where will the tournament be held if the state is shut down. After surfing the web last night and checking out the .gov address, it states that all state launches that collect funds will be closed starting this morning. That means that Bolles Harbour and Sterling State Park would be closed. Will have to see how that played out over night.
The event will be held October 3rd thru the 6th. Will have more details tomorrow.
*Ok, as it turns out, the blackmail and arm twisting that went on last night worked in the favor of the governor. All parks, boat launches and campgrounds will be open. Looks like the Lt. Governor had the deciding tie breaking vote to raise our income tax to 4.35 and the new 6% service tax too. Wonder how that will effect buisness at Jack’s and Snow’s nursery?
