Irish Hills Report

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

With today’s warm weather on its way, the fishing out in the hills was pretty good this weekend.

Sand Lake produced some nice perch, a few walleye and quite a few redears between 7 and 10 inches.

Round Lake on the backside of Wamplers turned out some nice crappie as they are getting ready for spring themselves.

Devils Lake, had some walleye hitting, a few dink perch and some gills on the NE end of the lake.

Even though the walleye up on in Saginaw Bay is really HOT right now, there is still plenty of fishing to be done here locally.  This has been one of the better winters for ice fishing in quite a few years here locally, gotta love walking on the ice in March.
