Grab the ice gear, and if the roads aren’t too bad, get out for what could be the last weekend of good ice in SE Michigan. The Irish Hills should be calling your name, a few folks I know are heading out to Devil’s Lake for some late walleye action, and the NE corner of the lake has been producing gills.
Locally, try your luck on the Huron River in Flat Rock. Steelhead action should be picking up, and you might even get into a few early bird walleye making their run up the river. Usually the jacks (males) will be up first this early, but the season will be closing soon so go while you can.
