Reminder: Free Fishing Weekend

Monday, June 2nd, 2008

Just a quick reminder for all those who want to get a line wet without the license,  this Saturday and Sunday (June 7th and 8th)  marks Michigan’s second free fishing weekend of the year.

If venturing out onto Lake Erie,  even though you do not need a Michigan license, you will need an Ohio slip more than likely to be legal.  It all depends on where you are fishing, but a lot of the fish are taken on the Ohio side of the lake.

good luck, enjoy.

Sunday Report

Trolling was the top producer today! Spoons and crawler harnesses both worked very well with nice limits being brought in.

Fish out front in 24′ of water the fish are out a little deeper right now.

Another HOT spot is out near the turn around bouy.

Hot colors have been confusion, pink panties, mixed veggies and lorains tanline.

Check out our new selection of crawler harnesses just brought in this week!!

THEY ARE HOT!!!

Good Luck & Tight Lines

That’s the report from Matthew’s Bait and Tackle.  We did good in 25 fow in front of Brest Bay and the Point.  Largest fish both days hit just a tad over 5 lbs.  First one took a board down, while the second came on one of the bottom bouncers off the front of the boat while trolling.
