What’s this fish?

If you have ever caught something and were not sure what it was exactly, now the DNR has an online resource available for folks to find out.

On the ” Identify Your Fish ” page, you can click on a common name, scientific name and the family in which the fish belongs to find out what it looks like, and lots of background information.

So if you were fishing on the Detroit River for bass or walleye and caught this:

Lake Sturgeon

And you knew it was a sturgeon, but not sure what type, you could go to the page and look it up.  This pic is what you would find on the website when you click on Lake Sturgeon.
