Garden Fresh: Strawberries
Friday, June 6th, 2008Later in the year when the rest of the garden comes in I will have some pics of some homegrown goodies that go with dinner, but for right now the strawberries are coming in fast. This was just today’s harvest.
It might not seem like a lot, but consider that it comes from a 4 x 8 ft raised garden box. Couple that with the same amount for the last three days, and tons more berries to turn in the coming weeks.
Why strawberries for a fishing blog? Because the powers that be said I can 
! Also, they are really good while the fish are in the fryer, smoker or on the grill. Finally they are a great desert, whether dipped in chocolate, swirled in cream or used as a topping over ice cream.
