Ice fishing in October? No, but what better time to gear up for the upcoming winter quest. Making your lists and checking it twice, as it were. The gear is coming out in the stores, new products are being introduced this year and this month is going to be “Introduction Month” to the world of ice fishing.
Like I said, there will be new products coming out, and will discuss them starting tomorrow. Where to fish, what to fish for and the gear you will need. I will also be jumping back into the tournament world this year, and will discuss strategies and some tricks that it took others years to come to grips with. Will be traveling out of state, and sharing what I learn while doing so. At least three tourneys will be on the travel plans as my new partner and I gear up and get ready to hit the road running this year. How to rig your lines, what kind of rods to use to get the most and desired effect will also be talked about at length.
So starting tomorrow it all gets started, as well as the local reports from out on Erie where this cool weather coming should tighten the perch schools up, as well as bring the walleye back in from wherever they scattered to.
