Its a sad thing when the best equipped and best run tackle shop in Monroe is going out of business, but that’s what is happening. Matthew’s will be closing its doors in Bolles Harbour at the end of the season this year. The guys are having a 35% off all tackle sale today, will be closed on Monday, and will open back up again on Tuesday for business.
Its a shame, because not another shop in the area catered to the fisherman’s needs like Matthew’s did. They brought in the best tackle available from the big companies; Silver Streak, Fishlander, Scorpions and Moonshine. You won’t find it anywhere else this close to the water and thats just a shame to loose a resource like that.
Hey its hunting season, and lots of things going on these days that have anglers attention besides walleye and perch fishing, but go down and help the guys clean up the shop by picking up some good buys. Its a shame, Mike and Jason are good people, and they always gave us customers a more than fair shake at purchase time.
