I had a great time with the folks from the Huron Valley Sportfishing Club last night, ummm THANKS FOR THE PIZZA. What was supposed to be a 40 min talk, lasted well over 75 minutes. We talked safety, we talked gear, and we talked techniques and rigging setups. Just a fun night, and they even let me bring the Polaris inside the building, that was fun. Good thing I didn’t have a snowmobile with studs on the tracks!
The whole lineup of gear on display.

There was the gear and tip-up displays
Shappell’s new hitch vs the old style, you are going to love the improvements made here. Plus my Rover and the Jet Sled that I use for pulling gear while walking out onto the lakes.
To give equal time, I also brought my Clam 5600 and FishTrap Pro, along with my Vexilar Coldsnap Suit, and my IceArmor blue suit. My two fishing mainstays when it comes to clothing.
This is really a great group, they have their fun meetings, they have walleye tournaments, salmon outings and lots of fun events throughout the year. Not to mention, they are coming back to the Monroe Fairgrounds this February for their sport fishing show in the Monroe Bank and Trust Expo Center. Will have more details in January, but make plans to take your sweetie out for Valentine’s Day! How’s that for a not so subltle hint?!!!
