One thing you can do after purchasing a StrikeMaster Power Auger, is to go out and make it twice as useful in the long run. I did this several years ago, and never regretted spending the extra money involved. So this is the meat and spuds of it….get a second lower unit to go with the one that came with your auger at the time of purchase.
Out of the box my auger was a 10″ Lazer Mag Express. Perfect for pike and big water walleye fishing, but a little big for chasing bluegills and crappie. My solution back then was to purchase a 7 inch lower unit that fit my 2 hp power head, thus maximizing my auger for all types of fishing. Now you can do that too, online!
You can either go bigger, or like me, get a drill unit smaller than what came in the box. Look at the drill unit ” webpage ” to see what your options are.
