This weekend Port Clinton will be hopping. Its the first weekend of the walleye tournament fishing season with the FLW Walleye League making its visit this weekend. The question for the everyday angler is this…
Should I go and catch some fish, and deal with all the traffic? Or should I go down and hob knob and pick up a couple of tips?
Me, going to skip both options. But, this is an excellent opportunity for the beginner or those unfamiliar with the area to go down and pick up a some pointers and a few hot spots for the spring.
Its a trade off, but worth it to go, specially for those new to the sport. I will head to the area to exchange a rod that snapped last year, the place in Dundee doesn’t carry the rod anymore, so no warranty there. Will also look at some new options in spinners at the Fisherman’s Wharf, an excellent place for walleye tackle for Lake Erie.
