Look alive folks, the fishing is here and now for Lake Erie in Michigan waters. I called both the Erie Party Store and Sterling State Party Store to get the latest reports before heading out tomorrow, and both report fishing being caught. Cranks, hair jigs and minnows and harness rigs all are catching walleye RIGHT NOW. Which means the waters have warmed up enough for some of the runs to start.
In addition, there are perch being caught inside Brest Bay too. Which means I have to tie up some fresh perch rigs for this year a few months earlier than I expected! If we can get a early walleye limit, why not utilize your time and chase some perch as well.
Erie bait will have a fresh delivery sometime in the morning if you are heading out, and Sterling just had a delivery this afternoon, both will be stocked up for the weekend.
