Well the winds died down and we managed to head out to Lake Erie yesterday. Picked up a few nice fish, going two for 2 for a good hook up ratio at least. Lots of traffic out there with a tourney going on and the line south of Stoney Point filled up fast with boats.
Not sure why it was so tough, could always blame that east wind that started the day off. Its transition time right now I believe with the water temps really increasing the last couple of days. Going from cranks to harnesses. The two fish were caught on Northland’s solid blue metallic deep cup blades that I rigged up with Mustad Ultra Points and Triple Grips. Same hook setup on some Purple Claw’s that I picked up at the Huron Valleye Sportfishing Club’s Monroe Boat Show earlier this spring. Nice blades!

Took A four man trip on sunday boated 28 eye’s by 1 o’clock trolling cranks from toledo beach to south of bolle’s.
Nice job Steve, think I know where that is. We headed that way about an hour later and had white caps, so went back to the bay. Congrats
