New Walleye Lure, by me.
If its a good idea, STEAL IT…apply it, and make it your own. This really should be my creed, everyone knows by now who reads this blog on a regular basis that I love to tinker, adapt and apply. Call it creative, whatever you want. My bright ideas don’t always fly, at least not at first, but this latest one hit a home run the first time out on the big lake.
So here it is, from the original application for muskie fishing, to making it a first of its kind walleye lure. Its a take-off of the inline style muskie spinnerbait, that has tandem blades where the clevises interlock. Producing extra flash per revolution of each blade. Then putting that concept together with a walleye crawler harness.

I had several concerns while trying to conceptualize the rig. Most of all, would the extra blade produce more twist than a standard walleye crawler harness could handle. It did not, then there was my second concern to deal with during the test phase of my lil’ project. Would both blades spin at slower speeds. They did, at 1 mph. Last concern was, would the presentation be too big for a Lake Erie walleye to take, it was not, and they did.
What you see is the first walleye taken from the newest creation from “Charlie’s Rigs“, the walleye tandem spin. All spring my two best colors were both blue and purple on my blades, so I took a Fishlander creation, the Voodoo pattern #5 deep cup colorado blade.
