Possible Salmonella-Tainted Peanut Butter, At Home
Posted on 15 February 2007 under Food Recalls
CNN.com is reporting that certain jars of Great Value and Peter Pan peanut butters, with batch numbers (on the lid) beginning with “2111″, are possibly connected to a 39-state outbreak of salmonella.
I just happen to have one of these in my cupboard, a Peter Pan creamy version.
It’s almost empty …
The jar in my cupboard likely came from the new Kroger on Suder in Point Place, Ohio. What this means is that you may have a jar in your own cupboard as well, as the possibly-tainted peanut butter is in this area, sitting right in front of me at the moment. Please check your own cupboard, pantry, etc., and if it’s there, throw it away and keep an eye on your peeps.
And thanks for reading.
