From this past Thursday’s holiday lunch for the staff and faculty at
Monroe County Community College, a tray of some of the servings
of Apple Pie with Caramel Sauce. These were some of the first of the
desserts to disappear from the dessert buffet.

Doode! Wheredja’ Get That Waffle Bowl??

Mary found these great waffle bowls at Kroger this morning! We went ahead and picked up some chocolate brownie mix, some Toft’s Cookies & Cream ice cream and also some of their Strawberry Strikeout ice cream, along with some plain Cool Whip and some strawberry. The waffle bowls fit perfectly into these dessert dishes we already had. Mary simply cooked up the brownies, let them cool a bit, assembled these wonderful desserts, and passed them around for the video gamers who had taken over the living room this afternoon. Talk about a simple-to-make dessert! So delicious, and so wonderful! Yeah, that’s Mary … and so were these desserts!
