It Girl

Friday, March 16th, 2007

Hey hey there! So, this is my blog…or the beginning of it I should say. Basically what I want to do here is kinda do a “day in life of” type thing, but also help those out there who do have a form of dysautonomia. And hey, while I am at it, I could even give some insight to those out there who don’t have it, but maybe know someone who does, or have seen one of us just pass out on the floor right in front of your eyes.

I was born with Neurocardiogenic Syncope (NCS), and was diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) about 3 years ago. So, even though I am not an MD, I believe I have become somewhat of an expert (if you will) of NCS and POTS.

I don’t want to do this blog and fill it with big huge medical terms and bore you to tears with all the goings on with the autonomic nervous system and whatnot. I just want to basically say “Hey, I am a 21 year old who is going to school, working, driving, and living a normal life, but I just happen to have a heart problem.” Oh yeah, and a little metal box attached to me at all times…

So, there is my introduction. I hope you come back and enjoy reading about my crazy life. Until then, take care!
