The big red buildings by the docks at Cedar Point which now house summer workers, were the orginal block houses on Johnson’s Island. Johnson’s Island was a Civil War prison used to house captured Confederate officers and poilitical prisoners. These block houses were disassembled and reassembled at Cedar Point.
