Colorado Rockie Mountain “High”

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketOne of my daughters and son-in-laws has a time share, and twice they have taken us with them to Vail Colorado. It is one of my favorite places to go in all the world. My son-in-law Glen loves to fish, and so do I, so we always try to find some good stream fishing off the beaten path.

Two years ago in between rodeos, rafting, shopping, and sight seeing we found the most beautiful little mountain stream. There were brookies, golden, cut-throat, and rainbow trout for the taking. These fish, generally speaking, are not real big, so a 12-16 incher is a real nice fish. These cold mountain stream trout are some of the most scrumptious fare a person could ever feast on. After we caught our limit, it was catch and release the rest of the day. I’ve fished Colorado on four different occasions, and caught my biggest trout to date on this trip (a 17 inch cut-throat.)

The picture, at the top, is some of the scenery we had the honor to be part of, as we worked our way back to our “fishing hole.” I will be blogging more, at a later date, on some of these trips after I come up with some more pictures.
