Thanks Art and Mary. Tribute after tribute pours in for this wonderful friend of mine. His life had far reaching effects, and he is certainly missed by many who’s lives he touched.

It is amazing how these anti-hunting lunatics are also anti-human. They would think nothing of killing a helpless child, but kill a turkey? How dare you.

And, of course, even though they claim animals don’t need population control, they would be the first ones wining for government intervention when they were attacked by bear while out on a nature hike, or mauled by a cougar while taking pictures of the mountains.

It is amazing, Mike. I could go on and on too, but my fingers would start to cramp up. Bottom line: they believe humans are the lowest form on this earth. Period!

Funny how these people write these articles about how barbaric hunting is. I bet they love to go to a restaurant and have a big fat steak that came from a farmed animal that couldn’t roam freely and may have been pumped full of hormones and who knows what else.
But as soon as an outdoors man takes a shot at something (that is able to roam free and has it’s wits to give it an opportunity to escape) all of a sudden they are all vegetarians.
I could go on and on Mike but I think someone else might want to comment too.

If it’s helps at all, Mike, I would have passed on him as well. But I can understand second-guessing yourself, especially with your limited time afield, and empty freezer.

Just keep at it, and forget about Versus for awhile.

Mike, don’t let the “trophy hunters” get to you. When you get to manage your own 5000 acre ranch, complete with breeding stock and pens, you can be picky like those guys on TV too.

Horns don’t feed the family.. meat does.

It’s always hard to say goodbye to someone we love, but apparently “Papa Joe” left plenty of love to go around.

Again, Mike, I’m very sorry to hear of your friend’s passing, and I wish you, his family, and everyone involved all the best.

At least there is comfort in knowing that he is in a much better place now. And you’ll think of him every time you start that lawnmower:):)

I’m very sorry to hear this news. I can tell from the numerous posts you’ve written about the man that he was something special, and will be missed by many people.

Hopefully there’s comfort in knowing that he is in a much better place now, and that his memory will live on in your heart as well as in the hearts of the many others he’s touched.
