Retirement Plans for Corrupt Politicians
Though I disagree with him on many issues, Rep. Kirk of Illinois, brings up a good point. Should politicians convicted of a felony receive taxpayer-funded retirement checks?
Speaking of corrupt politicians, check out this list of the ten most corrupt politicians of 2006 according to Judicial Watch. The list includes Jack Abramoff, Hillary Clinton, and Tom Delay. The dishonorable mentions include John Conyers, Patrick Kennedy, and Barack Obama.

You are right. In fact, taxpayer funded retirement of any kind is a slap in the face to those of us who work in the private sector. Pensions are becoming a distant memory and we all have to take responsibility and save for our own retirements, unless you’re a congressman. Then you can work for a couple years, go to work if you feel like it, break the law, and have it made for the rest of your life. As presidential candidate Ron Paul says, it’s easier to spend someone else’s money!
