Iran’s Non-Existent Nuclear Threat.
US intelligence agencies released a report on Monday concluding that Iran had halted their nuclear weapons program in 2003. If the program was resumed, it would take at least 8 years before they acquired a nuclear weapon. This assessment neglects the lack of transportation for the weapon, the motivation for using such a weapon against the US, and the consequences that Iran would face for taking that type of action.
This should embarrass most of the presidential candidates who have used exaggerated, if not flatly false, threats to garner support for their campaigns; and the current administration for using such claims as a ploy to advance their imperialist/mercantilist agenda.
The Republican candidates — aside from Ron Paul of course, who has been saying all along that these hyped threats were nothing but war propaganda — have all but backed away from their reckless statements regarding Iran.
Senator Clinton has used this report to contradictorily justify her approach to Iran. She somehow claims she has taken a more diplomatic approach despite voting “in favor of a Senate measure declaring the Iranian Revolutionary Guards ‘proliferators of mass destruction’.” Her Aides then stated that “The Revolutionary Guards are deeply involved in Iran’s nuclear program.”

The US was never going to do anything anyways. Appeasement and talk is all we know. The State Dept. are all mideast shills (sp?).
Notice how the Annapolis talks ended with little fanfare. Negotiations are not always the answer.
Leave it to Israel to take care of the problem - if there is one. Their intel is better than ours anyways. I just hope the US doesn’t continue to hold them back from doing what they need to do.
