I read somewhere that TPTB insist on higher education because there are never enough jobs available to accommodate the number of people available for employment at any given time (i.e. whomever is in the work force + the new high school grads for that year). Higher education is a joke. I have learned more from working with my mentor in one year than I ever would have from $50,000 in student debt and a Masters (that STILL wouldn't guarantee me a job).

Unfortunately they do not teach logic, nor common sense, in any program I am aware of.

As an Australian Aboriginal Women - I sit today and relate to this short film. Aboriginal people in this country are still oppressed; on a 'grass roots' level. The State Government dictated our lives for years and every move was recorded for my ancestors; permission to marry was required. The dominant culture did murder, massacre, steal, rape, and used strategies that played one against the other. As a black woman in this country, even with education, I am the bottom of the 'run' - this does not stop me from achieving; but I am aware of the hidden barriers that still dictate my life. I am me, I have rights as an individual and I enjoyed the messages in this animated film. Cheers.
