Turtle Cove

June 27th, 2008 · No Comments

We made it up to Lower Huron Metropark today to check out the new Turtle Cove aquatic center.  Its a great place, it reminded me a lot of Rolling Hills in Ypsi.

It cost $36 to get in ($8 each for 3 people over 48 inches tall, and $6 each for 2 people under 48 inches tall).  I figure its still cheaper than taking the kids to a movie.

So there were

  • 2 waterslides (one needs a tube, must be over 48 inches for either one)
  • a nice lazy river (one and two person tubes available)
  • a zero depth entry pool with sprayers and some toddler toy stations (there was a small deeper section that was roped off and closely watched by the lifeguards)
  • a splash pad with sprayers (I’m sorry but it reminds me of a huge bidet)
  • and a water playground with giant bucket (watch out little ones, that is a LOT of water that comes down)

I hope we can convince a few friends to go there with us this summer.  There is wide enough range of activities that teens would like it too.
