Mom Moments

A friend told me I would get more clicks on this blog if I posted something “provocative” or “racy.”  Apparently I’m pretty bland, because this title is about as good as it gets.

And this is a post about baby bike seats.  (sorry to disappoint, but if you did look at my butt, then you would have something to be REALLY disappointed about!)

The “traditional” baby bike seat has the baby right behind you, staring at your butt. 

I have to think this isn’t the most desirable view for a long bike ride.  (note:  this is some random webshot, that is not my bike, that is not my baby and that is not my butt!)

We have a front mounted bike seat called the Wee Ride.  We found it at Meijer or Target, but I think most people order them online.  Its held up for over 3 years so far. 

I like being able to see the baby, because I never quite had enough coordination to look backwards on my bike while driving forward.  And since I like to talk so much, its more like the baby might actually be listening to me, rather than me just talking to myself.  And with the baby in front of you, you’ll know when they throw down their sippy cup, instead of having to retrace your ride to find the dang thing after the kid is already screaming their head off because they are so thirsty.

Plus, the whole butt thing!  : P
