Christmas Tree Festival

December 9th, 2008 · No Comments

The Monroe County Historical Museum will host its 30th annual Christmas Tree Festival during December.

The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays, no admission fee is charged during the Christmas festival. Tour groups are asked to make reservations at 240-7780 to avoid schedule conflicts.

More than 50 classrooms, youth groups, church clubs and service organizations participated in the 2007 festival.

Also during December, the Stanley Newton Victorian Room will be decorated in Victorian holiday style.

And in conjunction with the Monroe County World War II special exhibit, a 1940s-era tree and other seasonal displays from that decade will be shown.
