Zehnder’s Snowfest has been host to one of the top snow sculpting events in North America for the past 17 years. Visitors have enjoyed larger-than-life snow sculptures and beautifully detailed ice carvings each year. Again in 2009, Snowfest will dazzle and excite you with snow and ice sculptures created by professional ice and snow carvers from around the world.
In addition, Zehnder’s Snowfest will have entertainment for the entire family in the warming tent, a fireworks display, petting zoo and children’s activities.

The 27th annual celebration is scheduled for January 23 through 25, 2009. The Plymouth Ice Spectacular still reigns as the oldest and largest Ice Carving Festival of its kind. The 27th annual event will feature over 100 statues carved from a single block of ice; numerous multiple block sculptures utilizing from 5 to 100 blocks; dozens of high school, community college, university, and professional ice carvers crafting dazzling statues from 330-pound blocks of ice and a series of special homecoming events.
Carvers from Japan as well as United States Champion Carvers will all be dazzling guests with their unique works of art.

The Toledo Zoo has the cure for even the most acute cases as the season we call Frozentoesen returns!. With ice carving demonstrations and animal feedings, along with some special activities and performances returning to the Indoor Theatre this year. Activities are free with half-price admission to the Zoo.
