		<description>MUSKRAT RUN AWARDS AND AFTERGLOW PARTY INCLUDES A PRESENTATION ON ADAPTIVE SPORTS OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES.

The indoor facility this year will be at the

HARBOR INN &amp; ALE
13993 LaPlaisance Rd.
Bolles Harbor
Monroe, Michigan

Left on Dixie Hwy, South on I-75, To Exit 11, go left, restaurant on right.

This year the Harbor Inn &amp; Ale will host the afterglow and provide free muskrat stew, soft drinks and coffee.   A full menu is available for separate purchase.

There will be an award ceremony recognizing the overall winners in the female and male running categories, as well as three places in the listed age categories. Many prizes will be awarded from businesses throughout Monroe, Wayne County and Toledo for the runners.  Monies received from this run are being donated to Access To Recreation, Monroe Community Foundation to create recreational opportunities for people of all abilities. 

The adaptive sports equipment presentations will be from 1:15 to 2:15 pm at the Harbor Inn &amp; Ale. Mr. John Waterman, Executive Director, PEAC (Program to Educate All Cyclists) and Mr. Pat Manick, Director, Downriver Panthers (sports for the physically handicapped) and a representative from the Michigan Adaptive Sports will be presenting. Mr. John Waterman will be concentrating on adaptive cycling and Mr. Pat Manic will be discussing and showing a video on adaptive sports for a variety of activities including both water and snow skiing, kayaking and extremity games. This is open to the public.  Please come and join us for our adaptive sports presentations and the Muskrat Run afterglow party.  

Thanks to the Harbor Inn &amp; Ale, all sponsors and volunteers including The Monroe Tourism Bureau, Sterling State Park, Monroe Community Foundation, the Monroe Milers and those who donated prizes for a successful run this year.</description>
