On behalf of the Great Start Collaborative and the Great Start Parent Coalition, we would like to invite you all to attend the 3rd annual Star Power Rally in Lansing, MI on Thursday May 21st from 10am-2pm. Each
parent in attendance will receive a $75 honorarium for their participation.

At the event we will be meeting with other Great Start Collaborative/Parent Coalitions at the Capitol to show our support for early childhood development and education and the programs they support. As the Michigan budget is being revised, we want our voices to be heard in order to ask that funding NOT be cut from the littlest citizens in our community as a way to solve our economic crisis.

We will meet with our local legislators as a group, have lunch on the lawn and learn about other ways we can be active in our communities with regard to this effort.

We are looking to charter a bus to the event which will leave from the ISD parking lot at 8am that morning. The more of us there are speaking on behalf of our little ones the better. Each parent will recieve a lunch and a t-shirt as well as a tote bag with materials as well the day of the event.
