things to do: freeware for kids

June 17th, 2009 · 1 Comment

Two of my kids fave computer activities is a stick figure animation program called “Pivot Stickfigure Animator” and “Tux Paint“, an interactive paint program.  One of my daughters also likes google’s “Sketch Up“.

Both of these programs are “freeware”.  Freeware is software available for use at no cost.

I hope to try some more freeware programs, google brings up a ton!

disclaimer: Always beware of downloading and installing software.  Use only sites you trust.

    Here’s a favorite of mine.
    Cartoonist

This program allows you to upload your own pictures and change them.
Give the person a big nose, wide ears, etc., and pictures can be saved and printed.

BTW. Lots of free downloads on this site as well.
